Several up and coming bands are making a number of tracks freely available for animators across the UK to download and animate to, with the best and brightest screened at Wolverhampton's Light House cinema on 21st July 2009. The contest is open to UK animators only and the winner of the best short will receive a subscription to Imagine Magazine and a copy of The Imagine Animation Directory
We recently entered the NHS/Creative Review competition and are very happy to announce that we are one of the five shortlisted entries. The challenge was to send in a storyboard or short animation containing a health message. Here are some stills from our entry.
A while ago Amazon had a competition to answer the question - What sports do wizards play besides Quidditch? The winners got to go to London to see one of the hand crafted Tales of Beedle the Bard.
I didn't win. And so I shouldn't. I'm in my thirties for God's sake. I do hope the grand finalists where children or I'd be very upset. Of course, I didn't write my entry, as being a Muggle I don't know much about the wizarding world (apart from a few obscure books handed down from my Great-Great Grandfather Alexander McLeod, who I believe was a dragon handler at the Royal Wizarding Zoological Gardens of Edinburgh). Anyway... I found this poem inside a book at the local library...

But if you favour games set on the pitch
Well you simply can’t beat it… Quidditch.
A while ago we were fortunate enough to be shortlisted for the NHS Choices / Creative Review competition. The final 'test' animations have all now been released, but here's ours - we wanted to keep it short and sweet with a twist of humour and minimal or no dialogue.

We're very pleased to announce that we've won the NHS Choices and Creative Review Health Cartoon Competition with our entry The Tokkels. The other four finalists all produced brilliant animations so there was some seriously stiff competition (you can watch them all on YouTube).
Our prize is a six month contract to work with NHS Choices to develop The Tokkels for them.
